Jordan River north of a hazy Sea of Galilee
The Jordan River begins far to the north of the Sea of Galilee, at the base of Mt. Hermon in the Hula Valley. From there it winds its way to the Sea of Galilee. The Jordan exits the lake and continues moving downstream to the Dead Sea. The southern portion of the river’s journey has biblical connections.
