This video shows the location and views from Jebel Musa, the traditional location of Mt. Sinai. Be careful to identify this location as “traditional.” Scholars are divided on where Moses saw the burning bush, and where he brought the people after their escape from Egypt. Some popular literature and information on the Internet has convinced many Bible readers that the location might have been in modern-day Saudi Arabia. The event happened so long ago, and the environment so harsh, there is no way of knowing exactly where the actual location(s) might have been. The temporary camp of Moses and his people was, indeed, very temporary. Nothing remains of it today. Nevertheless, you can still use this video as an example of how remote the location was, wherever the events happened. This was a land designed to increase the faith of a people who wandered here! Moses received the Law from God on Mt. Sinai. Centuries later, Elijah came looking for his own personal encounter with God after his battle with Jezebel’s false prophets (1 Kings 19:7-18). This video’s final frame is a perfect place to put the title of a sermon or Bible study, or a Scripture reference. See our tutorial videos to learn how.
