Caesarea Maritima palace and swimming pool ruins

Herod the Great built several luxurious palaces in Judea. His palace at Caesarea featured a fresh water swimming pool cut into a rock that jutted out into the Mediterranean Sea. New finds  underneath the palace ruins may point to the location where Paul was held prisoner at Caesarea  for two years roughly 60 years after Herod’s death.
