Greek and Roman Empires

This short video may help you illustrate the rise of the Greeks and Romans just before the birth of Jesus. Under Alexander the Great, the Greeks brought Hellenism to southern Europe, southwestern Asia, northern Africa, and the Middle East. Rome expanded the boundaries, built an extensive road system, improved sea travel, and provided security throughout its empire. In short, the rise of these two empires made it possible for the Gospel to spread to three continents very quickly after the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
