Golan tree vertical 2

The Golan Heights is a plateau stretching from Caesarea Philippi in the north to the southernmost point of the Sea of Galilee. The area covers about 700 square miles (1,800 square km). The region of Bashan included the Golan Heights. Amos spoke of the “fat cows of Bashan” when criticizing the wealthy women of Samaria (Amos 4:1-3). There are, indeed, some well-fed cattle in this prime pastureland.
