05 Elijah to Samaria confrontation

In the third year of the drought, Elijah returned to Samaria, where a famine was in full effect. There he challenged the prophets of Baal and Asherah to a most unusual contest at nearby Mt. Carmel. It was about 130 miles (210 km) from Zarephath to Samaria, and 45 miles (72 km) from Samaria to Mt. Carmel.
