Galilee often made their way to Jerusalem. This video can give a quick overview of that journey, and an idea of what they found when they reached the Temple in Jerusalem. Most travelers made about 20 miles a day on such a journey, and most towns along the route are about 20 miles apart. Jesus and his young disciples probably needed four days to make most of their trips. Mary, Joseph, and their growing family (see Luke 2:41) would have walked slower, perhaps needing five days or more to make the trip.
