When Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians, the last king of Judah ran for his life. He was captured in Jericho and taken to Riblah, about 200 miles from Jerusalem. There Zedekiah’s sons were executed in front of him. It was the last thing he ever saw. Zedekiah’s eyes were put out and he soon was marched another 600 miles or so to Babylon, where he lived out his days.
