Ekron to Bet Shemesh

When the Philistines captured the Ark of the Covenant, they soon regretted it. The people of Ekron did not want to suffer the way people in Ashdod and Gath had (1 Samuel 5), so they wanted to return the Ark to the Jews. They loaded it on a cart and watched two cows pull their load straight to Bet Shemesh, through the Sorek Valley. This is the most natural path any traveler would have taken.
