Jerusalem Temple Mount southern steps 01
The area around the southwestern corner of the Temple Mount has been heavily excavated since 1967. The ruins are from several different time periods, many of them dating to the time of the New Testament. On the southern side of the sloping hill, some of the ruins date back to the time of Solomon.
