Fringes illustration and women praying at Western Wall

When Jesus returned to Capernaum one day, a woman touched the fringes of his outer garment. This video illustrates this story with a mural from ancient Magdala, some photos of women praying at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, and a man wearing a modern-day prayer shawl at the Western Wall. The fringes on Jesus' garment were directly connected to his prayer life. The prophet Malachi (4:2) had promised that the Messiah would have healing in his "wings," or "corners." This is where the fringes on a man's outer garment would be found. When she touched the fringes, the woman in Capernaum touched the prayer life of Jesus.
