This video is one of several that can provide an overview of Israel and the Bible stories that happened in a particular region. Much of the Sinai and the wilderness areas of modern-day Jordan look like the Negev too. Few people can live in the Negev, even today. That makes it all the more remarkable that Moses led such a large group through the wilderness for so many years. Elijah fled from Jezebel, finally coming to an exhausted stop in the northern portion of the Negev, a day’s journey south of Beersheba. The Negev is a place where God taught his people to trust Him, whether they were new in their faith or whether they were as seasoned a prophet as Elijah. The red lines in this video represent the intercontinental highways that connected Africa, Europe, and Asia.
