Psalm 23 illustration from Ein Prat Nature Reserve

The Ein Prat Nature Reserve is located about 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Bethlehem. We have  no evidence that David ever visited this picturesque spot in the Benjamin Desert, though he certainly traveled near the location many times. As a shepherd, he would have loved the  abundance of green grass and the quiet waters of this place. And nearby? There are dangerous paths along deep canyons, a reminder of the “valley of the shadow of death.” Videos like this are valuable for illustrative purposes, but the exact location for any single place that might have  inspired Psalm 23 does not appear in the Bible.
