This video eventually focuses on the great theater in Ephesus, where a riot took place because of Paul’s effective preaching in the city (Acts 19:28-29). The theater had a capacity of 25,000. We don’t know how many people were in the theater during the riot, but it was no small crowd. After two hours of shouting, the crowd had to be dispersed by an official. For his own safety, Paul was forced to leave Ephesus immediately. The approach to the city shows where the protected habor once brought traffic from all over the world to Ephesus.
