BIBLESTOCK CONTENT LICENSE AGREEMENT

LAST UPDATED: April, 2025

This is a license agreement between you and BibleStock that explains how you can use our video clips, photos, and illustrations that you license from BibleStock. By downloading content from BibleStock, you accept the terms of this agreement.

The visual resources available from BibleStock are designed with the Bible teacher in mind. Whether you’re a pastor, small-group leader, classroom instructor, missionary, or seminary student, we’re delighted that you’ve discovered our resources. Our goal is to equip you to better understand the geographical context of the Bible, and in doing so, to help you become a better communicator of biblical truth.

We are providing the resources on BibleStock at an extremely low cost. We are trusting our subscribers to abide by these rules to help us keep the costs low, while also helping us purchase more resources in the years to come. BibleStock reserves the right to change the cost of monthly and annual subscriptions.

How can I use licensed content?

  • You may use content in any way that is not restricted (see Restricted Uses below). Subject to those restrictions and the rest of the terms of this agreement, the rights granted to you by BibleStock are:
  • Perpetual, meaning there is no expiration or end date on your rights to use the content downloaded during your agreement.
  • Non-exclusive, meaning that you do not have exclusive rights to use the content. BibleStock can license the same content to other customers.
  • Worldwide, meaning content can be used in any geographic territory.
  • Unlimited, meaning you can use the content in an unlimited number of projects and in any media, including social media and live-streamed events like church services.
  • For purposes of this agreement, "use" means to copy, reproduce, modify, edit, synchronize, perform, display, broadcast, publish, or otherwise make use of.
  • You are welcome to use watermarked content from the BibleStock site on a complimentary basis for test or sample layout (composite) use only. Watermarked content cannot be used in any final materials or presentations.
  • In short, please do not steal the resources on BibleStock. We are trusting you to treat BibleStock, and those who have provided these resources, the way you would like to be treated.

Restricted Uses.

  • No Unlawful Use. You may not use content in a pornographic, defamatory or other unlawful manner, to promote violence or hatred, or in violation of any applicable regulations or industry codes. BibleStock reserves the right to determine if your use of our products is in violation of this policy.
  • You cannot re-sell our resources. For instance, you cannot create a website like BibleStock that includes our resources. You cannot copy them in a storage device and then sell the storage device.
  • No stand-alone file use. You may not use content in any way that allows others to download, extract, or redistribute content as a stand-alone file (meaning just the content file itself, separate from the project or end use).
  • No False Representation of Authorship. You may not falsely represent that you are the original creator of an end use that is made up largely of licensed content.
  • No use of our materials made be made for use in political campaigns, or on social media in politically-themed topics.
  • No Electronic Templates. You may not use our content in electronic or digital templates intended for resale or other distribution (for example, website templates, business card templates, electronic greeting card templates, brochure design templates). To be clear, you may use our resources for your own purposes in any of these modes, but not for resale to others.

Who, besides me, can use the licensed content?

The rights granted to you are non-transferable and non-sublicensable, meaning that you cannot transfer or sublicense them to anyone else.

If you purchase a single-use membership, we expect that you will be the only person searching the website for resources, the only person downloading those resources, and the only person placing those resources in use in presentation software or any other use. If you have a team helping you create teaching material, we expect you to purchase one of our package subscriptions that will allow three, five, or ten people to access and use the material found on BibleStock. As an example, a pastor might browse the site for resources, and then ask an assistant to download and prepare a presentation. A media assistant might be involved in preparing visual elements for a Sunday message. In this case, the three-member subscription would be ideal. Churches wanting to offer these resources to multiple pastors, assistants and small-group leaders will find the 10-member subscription to be the best option based on cost.

User Accounts.

You will be responsible for tracking all activity for each user account, and you agree to: (1) maintain the security of all passwords and usernames; (2) notify BibleStock immediately of any unauthorized use or other breach of security; and (3) accept all responsibility for activity that occurs under each user account. BibleStock reserves the right to monitor downloads and user activity to ensure compliance with the terms of this agreement. If BibleStock determines that you are in breach of this or any other term of this agreement, it may suspend access to your account and seek further legal remedies.

Intellectual property rights.

All of the licensed content is owned by either BibleStock or the artists who supply the content. All rights not expressly granted in this agreement are reserved by BibleStock and the content suppliers.

Attribution.

You do not need to credit BibleStock as you use these resources in your own ministry. Your downloaded videos will not have the BIbleStock trademark on them. Some of the animated videos or illustrations may briefly credit the creator of those resources.

If you use our resources on a blog or video post designed to reach other Bible teachers, we would greatly appreciate a mention or written credit for biblestock.org that would help direct your audience to our website.

Termination/Cancellation/Withdrawal.

Subscription Termination. Unless renewed, subscription terminate automatically at the end of the subscription period. BibleStock may terminate any licenses before the end of the subscription period if it reasonably believes there is a violation of this agreement and/or abuse of the subscription account, in which case you must immediately: cease using the content; delete or destroy any copies; confirm to BibleStock in writing that you have complied with these requirements; and pay BibleStock any amounts which remain owing to the end of the term of your subscription as set on your invoice.

Refunds. Unless required by local law, there are no refunds for subscriptions. You may use our resources until the end of your subscription period.
