Nile River lush vegetation

The immediate area around the Nile River has lush vegetation. Most of Egypt is a desert, so this area is vitally important to supporting Egypt’s population. When the Israelites complained to Moses as they walked through the wilderness, they often spoke of the different foods that grew near the Nile.
