Meet the Founder of BibleStock

Andy Cook founded BibleStock and Experience Israel Now, two initiatives that merge his passion for the land of the Bible with innovative, biblical teaching. BibleStock was born out of Experience Israel Now, a non-profit ministry that brings the life-changing lessons of biblical lands to audiences everywhere. The Christian Television Network has featured Cook, and American bookstores have sold his numerous books. He has made more than two dozen trips to Israel, Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Jordan, walking the ancient paths and collecting visual resources for his ministry.

A heart for pastors

Prior to launching his multimedia ministry, Andy served as a pastor for 27 years, including 18 years at Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia. He holds an M.Div. from Southeastern Seminary (1991). Since 2015, he has come alongside hundreds of pastors and other Christian workers, helping them discover the power of using visual tools from the lands of the Bible in their own work. Andy also holds a journalism degree from the University of Georgia (1980). Before stepping into ministry, he spent a decade as a sports journalist. In 1984, he edited the first series of sports articles to ever win a Pulitzer Prize, at The Macon Telegraph.

As an author, Andy has written six books that reflect his passion for bringing biblical stories to life and equipping leaders with tools for impactful ministry. He also leads tours in Israel, offering participants an immersive encounter with the historical and spiritual landscape of the Bible. Through his partnership with the Friends of Israel and other organizations, Andy connects thousands of people to the profound truths of Scripture through compelling visuals and experiences.

Andy has been married to his wife, Melody, since 1979. Together, they are proud parents of three daughters and grandparents to four grandchildren. When he's not traveling or teaching, Andy enjoys the company of his beloved dog and his two rather marginal cats. Grounded in faith and creativity, Andy Cook continues to inspire ministry leaders through his innovative work with BibleStock and beyond.
